T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH has created a unique and easy-to-use marketing solution for both German and European markets. Using Microsoft Azure platform and our unique campaigns and product lifecycle process, Marketing and Sales divisions are now empowered to launch and manage their own secure, high performance web-based marketing campaigns with ease and speed.

T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH have taken Microsoft`s highly scalable platform and have enriched this by building in a business process for business campaigns and product sites. We call our solution, “Campaigns on Azure”. The business process enables the end-users to freely manage and control the full lifecycle of campaigns and product pages.

Stakeholders range from small businesses and corporate accounts, who have a limited budget for marketing activities to enterprise customers who wish to promote themselves within Europe or globally.

Our solution addresses marketing for a variety of industries, however T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH is focusing on the consumer goods, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.

Security, performance and flexibility are of highest priority

A problem that many customers experience is that they have no overview of how many campaigns are live and where they are being hosted. In addition it is not clear which agency is responsible for what, and most importantly the sites are not secure.

A critical risk for many customers is the potential loss in brand image due to the lack of control around the marketing campaigns. As campaigns are not secure they are open to being hacked and miss-used. The highest “cost” to a customer is brand damage which cannot easily be quantified.

Our solution allows the campaigns to be holistically managed as a full service with high security and performance controls.


The infrastructure for our solution is provided by Microsoft Azure “Infrastructure as a Service” (IaaS).The deciding factor for the selection of Microsoft Azure was the worldwide availability of Azure resources, which is a great benefit to customers who address the European and global markets. As high security is one of our unique selling points we offer two European Microsoft Azure data centers which enable us to comply with the European Model Clauses of processing personal data. This is crucial for success, especially in Germany, where there is a high requirement for security solutions in the Cloud.

The platform is scalable, thus allowing us to start small and grow according to the demands of the customer. Due to the large Azure resource pool and excellent platform performance, we are able to initiate campaigns of different sizes with immense speed.

The lifecycle process in detail

Each campaign and product site is subject to a lifecycle and requires the corresponding deployment and testing guidelines. Before the launch of a webpage it goes through an on-boarding process which includes several Quality Gates (virus check, compliance testing, security testing, load and performance testing, functional testing, user acceptance testing) all of which must pass successfully. If errors occur, the pages will be rejected and must be corrected. Only campaigns and product pages that are error-free, high quality, secure and of high performance will be rolled-out.

To assist the customers with creating the pages and to reduce costs, we developed and offer a self-service environment where the quality of the page can be checked before it moves to the on-boarding process.

Each page has a defined lifecycle and is available for content updates. At the end of the lifecycle the page will be off-boarded and archived. The lifecycle is traceable as each process step and any change is documented and reported to the customer. This is an important fact for customers in the pharmaceutical industry who operate according to stringent “GxP” documentation requirements (GxP is a guideline for “Good Practice” in pharmaceutical industries).

Our lifecycle process ensures that the customer’s brand is kept secure and in integrity.

The benefit of the solution is that all three partners are able to focus on their core competencies. The customer develops the strategy and is responsible for the product presentation and campaigns. The agency develops the product and campaign sites in accordance with the industry expert guidelines, created by T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH. Lastly, T- Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH as a full service provider manage the agencies, the business process and ensure that secure and effective operation is assured.

3 partners are concentrating their competencies in favor of the end-customer – A support and service concept for Dynamics NAV 2013 on Azure

Since 2006, T -Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH (T-Systems MMS) is a gold certified partner of Microsoft. Based on Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint , Lync , Windows Azure or Windows 8 we create web-based applications for customers in different industries, which we then operate and support.

Through the partnership with Microsoft we are able to offer joint software development and extended support which benefits both T-Systems MMS projects and customer projects, due to the joint expertise. Furthermore, T-Systems MMS is able to obtain early insight into upcoming projects and can participate in the so-called TAP programs from Microsoft by using beta products in pilot projects.

Microsoft Partner

Due to successful joint partnership, T-Systems MMS were approached by Microsoft in September 2013 and are now able to offer „Dynamics NAV 2013 on Azure„.

Due to T-Systems MMS general know-how in operating IT systems and specialist knowledge in Application Management for Microsoft solutions; Microsoft asked us if we could envisage operating Dynamics NAV 2013 in Microsoft Azure and to develop a concept for this.

A support model was quickly developed, and took into consideration the competencies of all parties.

Solution Provider


Dynamics NAV is sold through partners, who develop Dynamics NAV Business Solutions (business processes) for customers or industries, such as financial accounting and warehousing.In our support concept the Partner with their competence and business know-how takes on the role of the Solution Provider and is responsible for the solution lifecycle. The Solution Provider maintains the contact to their customer.

Platform Provider


T-Systems Multimedia Solutions is the Platform provider in this concept. We plan and implement the Dynamics NAV on Azure Platform solution, based on the requirements of the Solution Provider. We prepare the platform for the Business Solution and we are responsible for smooth operations. Our competencies lie in the holistic application management – we make the entire application lifecycle and actively support the Solution Provider in every stage of development.

Inftrastructure Provider


As the third party, Microsoft offers the Azure Cloud as an infrastructure provider and ensures the demand-driven, flexible and scalable infrastructure.


The goal is that the end-customers who use the business solution based on Dynamic NAV to obtain a stable system customized to their requirements.

With our support model we manage the Solution Provider, Platform Provider and Infrastructure Provider and concentrate the competencies of the providers in favor of the end-customer.

3 Partner bündeln ihre Kompetenzen – Ein Support Konzept für Dynamics NAV 2013 on Azure

Seit 2006 ist die T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH Gold-zertifizierter Partner von Microsoft. Auf Basis von Microsoft-Technologien wie SharePoint, Lync, Windows Azure oder Windows 8 entstehen webbasierte Anwendungen für Kunden unterschiedlicher Branchen, welche anschließend betrieben und supportet werden können. Durch die Partnerschaft gibt es gemeinsame Software-Entwicklungen und einen erweiterten Support von Microsoft, der den Projekten der T-Systems MMS und damit den Kunden zugutekommt. Weiterhin erhält die T-Systems MMS früh Einblicke in kommende Produkte, indem der Auftragnehmer an den sogenannten TAP-Programmen von Microsoft teilnehmen und die Produkte bereits im Beta-Stadium in Pilotprojekten einsetzen.

Mit Stand 2013 sind wir im Rahmen unserer Partnerschaft in folgenden Kompetenzen profiliert:

Microsoft Partner

Auf dieser Basis kam im September 2013 ein Kontakt zu Stande, in dessen Folge wir heute die Lösung „Dynamics NAV 2013 on Azure“ anbieten.

Microsoft fragte uns, ob wir uns vorstellen können, mit unserem Know How im Betrieb von IT Lösungen im Allgemeinen und im Application Management von Lösungen im Microsoft Technologie Stack im Speziellen den Betrieb von Dynamics NAV 2013 (ERP Lösung von Microsoft für den Mittelstand) in der Microsoft Cloud Windows Azure anzubieten und ob wir dafür ein Konzept entwickeln können.

Wir verfügen in der T-Systems Multimedia Solutions über das Know How im Betrieb von Lösungen mit Microsoft Technologien und wir betreiben auch für Kunden die Applikation Dynamics NAV.

Die Voraussetzungen stimmten und wir begannen mit Microsoft die Zusammenarbeit in diesem Thema. Schnell war ein Support-Modell entwickelt, das auf die Besonderheit im Dynamics NAV Umfeld eingeht und stark auf die Kompetenzen aller Beteiligten eingeht.

Solution Provider


Dynamics NAV wird über Partner vertrieben, die auf Basis dieser Microsoft ERP Lösung NAV Business Solutions (Geschäftsprozesse) für Kunden oder Branchen entwickeln, z.B. für Lohn- und Gehaltsrechnung oder Lagerhaltung.

In unserem Support-Konzept nehmen die Partner die Rolle des Solution Providers ein und verantworten mit ihrer Kompetenz und ihrem Fachwissen den Solution Life Cycle und halten den Kontakt zu ihren Kunden.

Plattform Provider


Die T-Systems Multimedia Solutions nimmt im Support-Modell die Rolle des Plattform Providers ein. Wir planen und realisieren eine auf die Anforderungen des Solution Providers zugeschnittene NAV on Azure Plattform, bereiten sie für die Business Solution vor und verantworten den reibungslosen Betrieb in Azure. Unsere Kompetenzen liegen dabei im ganzheitlichen Anwendungsmanagement – wir bilden den gesamten Application Lifecycle ab und unterstützen damit aktiv den Solution Provider in jeder Phase der Entwicklung.

Inftrastruktur Provider


Als dritter Partner stellt Microsoft als Infrastruktur Provider die Azure-Cloud bereit und ermöglicht damit eine bedarfsgesteuerte, flexible und skalierbare Infrastruktur.

Ziel ist es, den Endkunden, der die Business Solution auf Basis NAV nutzt, ein stabiles und an seine Anforderungen zugeschnittenes System zu bieten.

Mit dem Support Modell für NAV on Azure der T-Systems Multimedia Solutions führen wir Solution Provider, Plattform Provider und Infrastruktur Provider zusammen und bündeln die Kompetenzen im Sinne des Kunden.
